In the meantime, this little application just does the job. They should consider purchasing the rights to this simple software and suggest it as an option to Mac dropbox users who could activate the cleanup of their dropbox files everytime their dropbox is updated by the Mac. The problem of dot file management by Dropbox should actually be resolved by Dropbox. Good app and frankly not that expensive either… It does it efficiently, simply and quietly and keeps my dropbox clean from unnecessary clutter. This application cleans all the messy dot files in my dropbox folder on the mac which then updates to dropbox. They then email back to me that my files are corrupt… They try and click on them to no avail and endup frustrated because they don’t launch. ![]() Inexperienced users often don’t see the dot at the beginning of the file name, and think these files are regular files. The files don’t work of course when clicked-on because they are Mac OS system files that just clutter the dropbox. When I share a dropbox folder with others who are less familiar with Dropbox, they use to find a whole bunch of files in my shared folders starting with a dot.
